We recognize God’s Word as revealed in the Holy Bible as the sole authority in matters of faith and practice. In order to set forth certain principles which persons who are Baptists generally agree on, we do hereby incorporate, by reference, and adopt as the Statement of Faith and Message of the Fairfax Baptist Church, the Baptist Faith and Message as adopted by the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) on June 14, 2000.

The statement of faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself, as the inspired and infallible Word of God that speaks with final authority concerning truth, morality, and the proper conduct of mankind, is the sole and final source of all that we believe. For purposes of church doctrine, practice, policy, and discipline, our Pastor and Deacon body subject to approval of the church body is the church’s final interpretive authority on the Bible’s meaning and application.
